Transportation Engineer in charge updating all traffic signal timings and records to be compliant with latest MUTCD signal timing requirements. Timing updates included minimum green times for bikes, yellow intervals, flashing don’t walk times, and emergency vehicle preemption timing to over 140 signalized intersections throughout the city of Fremont. Project management included evaluation of all existing timing plans to determine how many intersections needed timing updates and in which category, coordinating with a signal timing consultant to ensure final plans and timing sheets were acceptable, and scheduling timing changes though City's centralized system and in individual controllers in the field. This project delivered a safer signal system for all modes of transportation.
